MRW installed Ipe rainscreens that not only protect the building from the elements but also add a rich, natural texture to the façade. The team crafted curved soffits and fascia using Ipe, showcasing exceptional woodworking skills. These elements contribute to the building's distinctive appearance, with some designs reminiscent of a ship's hull. A unique architectural feature, the Ha-Ha wall, was constructed using Ipe, adding both functionality and aesthetic appeal to the exterior landscape. MRW also installed Ipe cladding on the sides of private balconies, ensuring a cohesive and luxurious look throughout the building's exterior. These elements collectively highlight MRW's commitment to quality craftsmanship and their ability to execute complex designs, significantly contributing to the Pier 4 Condominiums' prestigious standing in Boston's waterfront architecture.
