Mark Richey dismantles wind turbine
Mark Richey Woodworking felled its wind turbine Thursday. Parts to repair the turbine could no longer be purchased. The green manufacturer plans to replace the lost power generation with additional solar.

Mark Richey Woodworking hosts fundraiser for the Cure Blindness Project
Mark Richey Woodworking hosted more than 100 people at its Newburyport, Mass., facility in May 2025 for a fundraiser to support the remarkable work of the Cure Blindness Project.


Seeing the bigger picture
Mark and Teresa Richey traveled with the Himalayan Cataract Project, now called the Cure Blindness Project, to help restore vision to nearly 300 people. Project co-founder and friend of the Richeys, Dr. Geoff Tabin, along with a small team performed 292 surgeries, each a success, returning vision to people with little access to medial care and suffering unnecessary blindness. The experience was life changing.
